Thoughts About Writing

I never thought that i wanted to write. Although i do remember writing stories when i was young. Mostly during elementary school, i would write stories that were school assignments. I was never very fond of writing even though i did it a lot. I was always more into mathematics and science, I think it is because i have always been good with numbers, and not so good with writing. I can write essays okay, but when it comes to research papers i go insane. It takes me forever to write a research paper, even if its about someone i know a lot about. And when comes to other types of writing like poetry my mind goes blank and i have to sit and think for very long amounts of time.

The Year Coming...

"There are years that ask questions and years that answer."  Write a speculative response on what the upocoming year will hold for Janie.  Will this eyar be the year that asks questions or one that answers them?  Will this be the year that does both?

The next year will hold both questions and answers for Janie. She just ups and leaves without saying anything. She leaves with a man she hardly even knew. This can both ask questions and answer them. it can get her to ask whether or not the life she just left was better than the life she is going to have throughout the next year. It can also answer questions she would ask such as if the first man she married was really the one for her or is this guy she just left with make her more happy. Does her life hold anything better for her in the future than it has in the past.

In the past Janie's life has not been all great. she had no family except for her Nanny who ended up passing away. And her Nanny is the one who wanted her to get married in order to make sure she was protected and tooken care of. She was forced into a marriage with someone she does not love, and does not make her happy.

Marriage and Love

Marriage always has at least something to do with love. Even if you don't love the person you marry there has to be something about them that you love or else you wouldn't have married them in the first place. Whether it's their house, their money, or even the rest of their family. There is always something you love about the person you marry. If there was nothing you loved about them you would not even consider spending the rest of your life, or theirs, with them.
For instance if a women loves a man for his money she would consider to marry him even if she does not love him as a person. She might also devise a plan to kill him but as long as she gets the money she wants.

Questions??

Why does myrtle ask for a dog??

How does Nick meet Mr Gatsby??

Why does the car crash??

Why did Gatsby want to die in the war??

Ring Ring...

the telephone rang inside,
startingly, and as daisy shook her head decisively at Tom
the subject of the stables, in fact all subjects,
vanished into air. Among the broken fragments of the last five minutes at table
i remember the candles being lit again,
 pointlessly,
and i was conscious of wanting
to look squarely at everyone
yet to avoid all eyes.
I couldn't guess what daisy and tom were thinking
but i doubt if even miss baker
who seemed to have mastered a certain hardy skepticism
was able utterly to put this fifth guest's shrill metallic urgency
out of mind.
To a certain temperament the situation might have seemed intriguing--
my own instinct was to telephone immediately for the police.
